Tuesday 22nd – Thursday 24th
Going away for four days to a cabin in the Danish countryside might seem like a weird idea, but welcome to Denmark. In Denmark, it is a tradition that first year students go through an introduction programme that usually culminates with the “Rus- Tur”.
The Danish word “Rus-Tur” combines the word “Rus” which means either a first year student or intoxication with “Tur” which means trip. The idea behind the “Rus-Tur” is that you should get away from your everyday life, and live with each other in a totally new surrounding, with no other options than to socialize with your future study mates.
The cabin trip has many sides to it. Its sole purpose is not related to beverage consumption. We will have different themes every day, with activities ranging from games and competitions to short workshops and socializing. It is intense – in a good way – and an essential part of starting your social life at IST. Definitely not something you want to miss and we strongly encourage everyone to participate!
We will meet up at Dalgas Have, CBS at 12.00 and no later than 12.30 on Tuesday 22nd, August 2017. There will be tutors at Lindevang Metro St. guiding you as well as at the main entrance.
The price of the Cabin Trip is 500 DKK, which can be paid in two ways: Bank Transfer (see below) or MobilePay (+45 21563748). The price include transportation, accommodation and food at the Cabin.
We will be heading out to the beautiful Danish countryside at a place, we will reveal when you arrive Monday. The cabin is beautifully situated in a distinctive landscape, often used for activates such as field trips, Intro trips, team building and such.
The cabin is 600 m2, furnished with 70 beds, which is divided into 5 big bedrooms and 2 tutor rooms.
In addition to the sleeping places there will be “excellent” bathing facilities.
